Personalized books are books that are personalized in some way --ie a child or other person is made to be the main character in the story. In addition to the child or adult's name, these books also include the hometown, names of friends or family, age, and a dedication from the giver at the front of the book.  Since children love seeing their names in print, these books are great ways to encourage reading in young people.
 


What are the features and benefits of personalized books?

There are many benefits to our personalized books, including:

  • Seeing his or her name in print fascinates children, and makes the book a memorable reading experience.

How do I use the forms to personalize my books?

If you have purchased a book through our PayPal online ordering system, you will be directed to the "customer information" page, where you can choose the form that applies to the book or books in question. You can also go to that page by clicking here. Just be sure to double-check your information for accuracy before submitting, and please use the same email address as the one you used when making your purchase.
 
If you've ordered multiple books, you can view all of the necessary forms from the same page.

 
 
What information is needed to personalize a book?

Depending on the book selected, you'll be required to provide the following information in order to personalize your book or books:
  • The child's full name (middle name is optional)
  • The city and state or province where the child lives
  • The names of three friends or relatives
  • The child's gender
  • The child's age (optional)
If you purchase the Baby Book, you'll need to included the following additional information:
 
  • Date of birth
  • Time of birth
  • Baby's weight
  • Baby's length
  • Delivered by
  • Hospital
  • Mom's first name
  • Dad's first name

What if I don’t know the names of the child’s friends to include in the book?
 
In the plane of friend's names, you can substitute pets or members of the family . Another idea is to use “Mommy and Daddy” in the story in the place of friends. In order to personalize the book, we need the names of at least two people in “friends or relatives” category.
 
 

How long will it take to ship the books?
 
Books are normally printed and shipped within 3-4 business days of completed purchase via USPS Priority Mail. During the peak holiday season, or for special holidays like Easter or Mother's Day, the books can take up to 7 business days to ship.
 
Rush delivery and overseas shipping is available at a nominal extra charge. Please use the contact us form to inquire about these shipping options.
 

 

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards such as Visa, Master Card, Discover and Amex. We also accept personal checks (with a holding period for the funds to clear), along with cashier's checks and money orders.

Will my credit card information be safe online?

Absolutely. Paypal, our payment processing service, uses state of the art encryption to protect your information. And no one at Books To Order will ever see any of your credit card information. 
 


Do you have a guarantee on the books?

Yes. If you're not completely satisfied with your purchase, we will cheerfully refund your money (minus shipping charges) within the first 90 days. Also, if we make a mistake when personalizing the book (i.e.  it was not printed according to the information you provided), we will replace the book or refund your money (minus shipping charges) within the first 90 days.
 
In addition, if you change your mind within 12 hours of ordering, or you need to make a correction to the information you provided, you can use the contact form to notify us, and we will cancel or make corrections to your purchase.
 


I purchased a book, but it was printed incorrectly (according to the information I provided when ordering the book).  Can I get a refund, or a new book with the correct information?

If the mistake in printing was made by us, as stated above, we will replace it free of charge. If, however, the mistake was made by you when filling out the personalization form, we will offer you the same book with the corrected information at 50% of the advertised price.
